About Gol Sara Simaei
Gol Simaei is a family lawyer with a focused practice in complex financial and parenting matters. She advises clients on high-stakes disputes involving property division, support, and parenting, and represents clients in mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Her practice focuses on resolving financial issues, including matters involving significant assets, professional income, and business interests. She works closely with clients to develop clear, strategic approaches aimed at achieving practical outcomes.
Gol has contributed to the development of family law through her involvement in cases addressing spousal support, privacy rights between separated spouses, and complex parenting issues, including matters involving family violence.
She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008. She completed her articling term as a judicial law clerk for the judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She also holds a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto.
Gol is the Co-President of AFCC-O, the Ontario chapter of an international, interdisciplinary organization dedicated to improving outcomes for families in conflict. In this leadership role, she collaborates with legal and mental health professionals to advance best practices in family law. She has also contributed numerous chapters to
